Closing the materials cycle for rigid polyurethane foams: This is the ambitious goal of the new pan-European “CIRCULAR FOAM” project.
To achieve this, BioBTX will work closely with Covestro, RWTH Aachen University, ETH Zürich and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen to design and demonstrate new chemical recycling routes for the recycling and production of PU rigid foams in a high a quality as possible and thus enable their fully circular reuse.
