New interns joining the BioBTX ranks!
In our mission to make circular chemistry possible, we welcome two new interns to the BioBTX organisation.
Ricarda Winterott is a master chemical engineering student from the University of Groningen and she will come up with a proposal to solve the synthetic fiber waste problem. Less than 10% of the synthetic fibers, with polyester being the dominant material, is being recycled (mechically or chemically) at the moment. At BioBTX we believe that we can make our technology suitable to (chemically) recycle these complex materials.
Giorgos Kouloumis is also a master chemical engineering student from the University of Groningen and he will work on a promising biomass feedstock. Coupling the conversion of waste plastics with the conversion of waste biomass to BTX is in our opinion one of the greatest prospects of our technology. In the end society will require both to satisfy its needs for renewable chemicals.
We wish Ricarda and Giorgos an informative and awesome time at our company and are looking forward to their genius input!
